Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Rudolf Simek – our  Scientific Advisor

Prof. Simek was Professor of German and Nordic Medieval Studies at the University of Bonn until 2021, and has also taught for extended periods in Vienna, Edinburgh, Tromsø, and Sydney. His more than 50 books include 10 volumes of translations of Old Norse sagas, as well as monographs on the Viking Age and the Normans, and on medieval cultural and religious history.
